Last week my friends over at Manrepeller.com got in touch to talk about living life in the ” health food lane”, creating healthy yet easy recipes on a limited time frame. We all want to be in the best shape we can be but eating out or not eating the right things can lead us all down a very slippery slope… before we know it we’re 15 pounds heavier and jumping onto any fad diet we possibly can, leading us to gain that freshman 15 right back in just a short few days.
I know that some of you may find your kitchens or preparing your own food at home a little daunting, and that spending all night in your kitchen is the last thing on your to-do list but stick with me and The Man Repeller and we’ll have you out of that kitchen with a delicious meal faster than you can grab that reservation on OpenTable’s hottest new joint.
Last week’s collaboration recipe was a super easy Kale Smoothie, perfect for breakfast or that midday snack. I love a good juice in the morning but as most kitchens are not equipped with juicers, so grab your blenders and lets get down to business. Here’s a delicious green smoothie for ya’ll.
You will need
- 2 cups chopped kale
- 2 cups water or coconut water
- 1 cup pineapple cubes, frozen
- 1 cup mango cubes
- 1 lime peeled and chopped
Instructions
- Put the kale and water in a blender and blend until the leaves smooth out and most of the leafy bits are gone.
- Add in the fruit and blend again until fully incorporated.
- Pour and serve.
