MAKING YOUR OWN NON DAIRY BUTTERMILK

Ever using a recipe that calls for buttermilk? How about that mouth watering fried chicken which won awards and is calling out your name? Well, if your kosher like me and you want to make that fried chicken, that exact recipe wont be possible… unless you make your own dairy free buttermilk.

Today I discovered how to do this, its easy really!

Take soy or almond milk, and mix it in a bowl with white vinegar or fresh squeezed lemon juice. For every cup of soy/almond milk that you use you should add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar or lemon juice.

Now use as if you were using buttermilk. You can thank me later!
