I often like to buy bags of potatoes so that I always have them when I decide that I need them. My only problem? Those damn potatoes love to start budding those little nubs.
Well, it turns out we can stop that from happening! All you need to do is stick a an apple in the bag with the potatoes and you can say sayonara to those nasty little fellas. You can thank me later.
Wow! Thanks for the great tip! I actually took my budding bag, cut them up, and planted the sprouting nubs in my garden. They grew into potato plants and now I’m hoping for a harvest just before Thanksgiving :>)
Wow Karen, what an amazing idea! Let me know how they turn out – I’m dying to try that now!
